Conference “Human–Environment Interaction during LALIA”, Pisa 2025

Our team recently had the pleasure of participating in the Human–Environment Interaction during LALIA: Exploring Bioarchaeological Perspectives conference, where we presented our latest research on skeletal evidence of early-life stress during the Late Antique Little Ice Age (LALIA) at Avar-period sites in Serbia.

The conference offered an inspiring environment for exchanging ideas and discussing the complex relationships between humans and their environments during periods of climatic and social change. We were delighted to meet colleagues from across Europe, share knowledge, and lay the groundwork for future collaborations.
